A day with the grandkids

My day off. I had a hundred things to do but did a hundred much more important things!

 I had an early appointment so I picked up these munchkins afterward. We tried some where different for breakfast, The Jane Store in Jane Missouri. Yep, worth going. Nora and I each had a huge breakfast burrito, $2.50, and a big blueberry pancake for Luke for just $1.75

After breakfast we stopped at the Lanagan City Park, our favorite swimming place, to see how the water looked after the 9″ of rain in the last week and a half. Looked nice, but still flowing a little fast

Once we got back to the farm we fed calves, took a walk, visited horses, then played at the pond with Max. The 3 of them had a blast. Seemed no matter how often they threw sticks into the water Max went in after them and brought them back. Found a cool fossil rock(they are plentiful around here) and one very neat bug!

While the kids may not remember this particular day it’s memories of days like this I hope will last their life times. I know they will last mine.
